Restaurant POS software · India
Restaurant POS software that bills fast, files GST right and runs on the tablet you already own
In short: Restaurant POS software from Rikaab runs the counter, the kitchen and the owner’s phone: tables, takeaway and delivery tickets, KOTs and a live kitchen display, a UPI QR for the exact bill, shifts and daily closure, with every bill a valid GST tax invoice. It is ₹799 a month with every feature included, works offline, and comes as an Android app.
What a restaurant POS has to do in India
A point of sale for an Indian restaurant is not a cash register. Every counter bill is a tax invoice under GST, so it must carry a consecutive serial number, your GSTIN, the SAC code, the taxable value and the tax split, and the numbering must never skip. The counter must also stay fast at eight in the evening, print KOTs to the kitchen, take UPI without a soundbox and keep billing when the internet drops.
Rikaab was built inside a working kitchen to do exactly that. The counter runs on an Android tablet or any browser, the kitchen display runs on a second tablet, waiters take orders on their phones, and the owner sees the day on theirs.
Hardware you already have
- Any Android phone or tablet, or a laptop with a browser. No proprietary terminal.
- Bluetooth, USB and LAN thermal printers (ESC/POS) for KOTs and bills, printed in the background by the Android app.
- UPI payments by QR for the exact bill amount, with your restaurant name and the bill number in the payment note. No soundbox needed.
- Internet optional: the counter keeps billing offline and syncs when it is back.
How it compares
Most restaurant POS suites in India sell a core plan and then charge separately for the kitchen display, inventory, online ordering and a waiter app. Rikaab publishes one price with all of it included. See the side-by-side pages for Petpooja, POSist and DotPe, including where each of them is the better fit.
