Terms of service

1. The service

Rikaab is software for running a restaurant: a point of sale, GST tax invoicing, reports and exports, a kitchen display, staff roles, and online ordering through a partner API. We provide it as a subscription over the internet. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a feature you pay for without notice and a reasonable alternative.

2. Your account and your responsibilities

• You must be a business registered in India and give accurate details, including a valid GSTIN. We review new restaurants before they can issue GST invoices and may decline an application.
• You are responsible for everything done under your account and your staff’s PINs, for keeping sign-in codes private, and for removing staff who leave.
• The invoices, returns data and records you produce with Rikaab are yours and your responsibility. Rikaab computes tax as configured by you and the law as we understand it; filing returns and paying tax correctly remains yours and your accountant’s duty.
• You will not use the service to break the law, to bill for someone else’s supplies, to attack or overload the service, or to resell it.

3. Fees, GST and the trial

• Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, no card required. After it, you choose a plan and pay monthly or annually in advance. Prices are on the pricing page, in INR, GST extra; we issue a GST tax invoice for every payment.
• Prices for an active subscription do not change during its paid term. We give at least 30 days’ notice of price changes for renewals.
• If a payment fails, we remind you; the account is read-only (you can still see and export everything) until it is settled, and is closed after 60 days of non-payment.
• Refunds are described in the refund policy.

4. Your data

• You own the data you put into Rikaab. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy, and never sell it.
• You can export your invoices, GSTR-1 files and reports at any time, and ask for a full export on closure.
• We keep your data isolated from other restaurants, encrypted in transit and at rest, and backed up. Records the GST law requires you to keep are retained for the statutory period even after closure, unless you export them and ask us to delete what the law allows.

5. Availability and support

We run Rikaab to be available around the clock and we plan maintenance outside Indian restaurant hours, with notice when we can. The counter keeps billing offline in its own series when the internet drops and syncs when it returns. We do not promise a specific uptime percentage at this stage, and we will tell you when we do. 6. What we are not liable for

To the extent the law allows: Rikaab is provided as is; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or penalties and interest arising from tax filings; and our total liability for any claim in a year is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by Indian law.

7. Ending the agreement

• You can cancel any time from the console or by email; the subscription runs to the end of the paid term and does not renew.
• We may suspend or end an account for non-payment, for a breach of these terms, or if the law requires it, with notice where we can give it. You will be able to export your data for 30 days after closure.

8. Other terms

• These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts in New Delhi have jurisdiction.
• We may update these terms; we will post the new date here and email account owners about material changes at least 15 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
• Rikaab, the Rikaab mark and this website are ours; the names of other products on this site belong to their owners.
